SUPERBRONC ROUGHSTOCK RODEO CHALLENGE Rodeo: The Ultimate Rodeo Experience

How to enter the Superbronc Roughstock Challenge NOW being held on March 21 at the Harvest Arena in Liberty Hill, TX.  This will now be a 1-day 2-head competition for the benefit of our participants.

First, in order to compete, all contestants must be a member of the Junior Roughjstock Association.  If you are not already a member, click on the link below to join.  (Entries will be verified against the JRA membership list before competition).  JRA rules will be used for this event.

Entries will open on Monday, February 16 at 9:00 a.m. through Saturday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m. Central Time (No entries on Sunday, February 22 or before 9:00 a.m. and after 9:00 p.m. any day please) or until the event is filled.  There are 3 ages groups 11-13, 14-15, and 16-18 for both Saddle Bronc and Bareback Riding.  You will be able to call in each day beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Central Time to (512) 627-1129.  If an event fills, we will take a wait list and will post this information on our Facebook page.

Entry Fees have been reduced to $120 per entry paid on arrival on March 21.
Breakdown: to be transparent, here is how JRA structures the fees, followed by an explanation of what we are doing:

Stock charge is $35 per round x 2 for a total of $70.  We have good horses that will be more than twice this cost, so we are paying the rest of that for you.

$5 per contestant for ground fee (ours is much more).

$5 per contestant for prize fee.  We have $1,500 of the nicest Maynard Buckles you will find anywhere (and can be seen on this Facebook page).  Our belief is they should be so nice you take off the one you are wearing because you will want to put the one you win here!
$40 for the Jackpot.  We are rounding that up to $1,000 per age group per event with a minimum of 5 entries in that age group.

$25 to the JRA.
If you add this together, it shows the fees should be $180, but you will only be charged $120, and the value received by each contestant will be over $400.  We consider it our responsibility to go ask sponsors to support our event to make this a great experience for all who participate.

The top 2 winners in each age group based on the average in both Saddle Bronc and Bareback Riding will be Direct Qualifiers to the Junior NFR in Las Vegas in December.

Something else very special we are doing is we will be holding a PRCA Contestant Rodeo School beginning at 9:00 a.m. on the morning of Saturday, March 21 that is being offered exclusively to contestants who enter our JRA event.  Instead of being hundreds of dollars, the cost will only be $50 (which is being used solely to show appreciation to our trainers).  Additionally, if you look down in this Facebook page you will see a picture of the custom-made logoed Yeti Tumblers (valued at over $50) for each entered contestant who participates in the Rodeo School.  When you call in let us know if you want to attend the PRCA Contestant Rodeo School. on March 21.

Among the names (tentatively) you will see providing instruction will be PRCA Bareback Riders Gavin French and Cole Hollen and Saddle Bronc Rider Isaac Diaz, with more to come.  You will receive great instruction to help give you the skills needed to be a professional rodeo athlete.  Ground training with a bucking machine and spur boards and the opportunity to get on a practice horse will be included.

All entered contestants will receive regular communications about event details up to March 21.

We thank you for your interest in participating in the SUPERBRONC ROUGHSTOCK CHALLENGE!
